Dadurch spielt eine energieeffiziente Auslegung eine zentrale Rolle. Ziel der Arbeit war es, die Au\u00dfenh\u00fclle des OpenROV nach biologischen Vorbildern str\u00f6mungsg\u00fcnstig zu optimieren. Als Open-Source-Produkt stehen unter anderem die CAD-Daten frei zur Verf\u00fcgung und erm\u00f6glichten eine gezielte bionische Weiterentwicklung der Geometrie.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"87\" data-end=\"560\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"562\" data-end=\"1309\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Die optimierte Str\u00f6mungsh\u00fclle \u2013 das sogenannte TurtleROV \u2013 wurde umfangreich im Windkanal getestet. Dabei konnten die frontal wirkenden Widerstandskr\u00e4fte um 67,5 bis 77,6 % und die seitlich wirkenden Kr\u00e4fte um 49,7 bis 66,5 % reduziert werden. Im Funktionstest erreichte das TurtleROV im Vergleich zum urspr\u00fcnglichen OpenROV eine um bis zu 94 % h\u00f6here Geschwindigkeit. Gleichzeitig konnte die effektive Reichweite etwa verdoppelt bzw. die Einsatzzeit deutlich verl\u00e4ngert werden. Auch die Man\u00f6vrierf\u00e4higkeit verbesserte sich erheblich: Bei Wendeman\u00f6vern um die Vertikalachse war das TurtleROV etwa dreimal schneller.
